Lake Vermilion Getaway

 Wolfe’s Den Cabin is a privately owned and family-built lakefront cabin on beautiful Lake Vermilion in northern Minnesota. The property combines classic Northwoods character with thoughtful updated amenities for fishing trips, family vacations and relaxing weeks on the lake.
 

Guests enjoy a private dock with power  for charging marine batteries, a fish-cleaning station with running water, ample freezer space, kayaks, paddleboards, water bikes and other water toys and direct access to some of Minnesota’s best fishing and boating waters.
 

Unlike large commercial vacation rental operations, Wolfe’s Den Cabin remains a family-operated property with a strong focus on cleanliness, transparency, guest communication and preserving the long-term condition of the property for future generations.

• This is a family-oriented property and is not a party house.
• Maximum occupancy limits are strictly enforced.
• Primary renter must be at least 21 years old and remain overnight at the property throughout the reservation.
•  The owners maintain a separate family cabin on the shared property and may be present during guest stays. Guest privacy is respected at all times. 
• Guests may occasionally encounter the owners’ friendly mini-goldendoodle Ollie while owners are walking on the property.
• Regular pest-control treatments are provided and guests will be notified in advance of scheduled treatment during their stay; however, no Northwoods lake property can guarantee a bug-free environment. 
• Lake conditions, weather, fishing success, water clarity, wildlife activity, wildfire smoke and rare internet or utility interruptions are outside owner control.
• Wildlife is a natural part of the Northwoods environment; sightings may occur during your stay but cannot be guaranteed. 
• During elevated fire danger or Red Flag Warning conditions, outdoor fires and indoor fireplace use may be prohibited for guest safety.
• Minnesota lake properties naturally include uneven terrain, wildlife, insects, wet surfaces and dock-related risks.

Grandpa and Grandma purchased the property and its original fishing cabin in the 1940's. 

The property has been handed down from generation to generation with family members visiting  and making memories every year.  We're pleased to be able to share this slice of paradise with others.

Several generations pitched in to build the boathouse and the cabin that is now the rental, finishing  in the early 1970's. It was used exclusively by immediate family as a treasured summer getaway until recently.

We've added a few modern lifestyle upgrades (finally, high speed fiber optic cable!!) and finishing touches, but the cabin retains most of its original features including beautiful knotty pine walls, ceilings and floors.

The owners (Lisa & Phil) are usually available onsite at their cabin next door should you need extra towels, blankets or other items or if you have questions, need help or need to borrow something (tools, etc.). We've even been known to help guests with runaway or sinking boat issues, we try to be handy when the need arises. 

Our faithful companion Ollie loves meeting new friends and is a true Minnesota pup who loves to swim and boat when he isn't begging for pets or hugs :)
