Many of our returning guests choose Wolfe's Den specifically because they can bring their dogs along to enjoy a true Northwoods vacation on beautiful Lake Vermilion.
Unlike many vacation rentals that prohibit pets, Wolfe's Den Cabin welcomes dogs. Guests appreciate being able to spend their vacation together without the expense and stress of boarding pets back home.

Guests may occasionally encounter the owners’ very friendly mini-goldendoodle while the owners are on the property. He enjoys meeting people and is accustomed to visitors but, like all pets, should not be approached without the owner's permission.

Wildlife Awareness & Pet Safety:
Lake Vermilion's Northwoods environment is home to a wide variety of wildlife. Depending on the season, guests may encounter deer, foxes, eagles, loons, porcupines, black bears, and other native species.
For the safety of both pets and wildlife, dogs should remain supervised at all times and should be kept leashed outdoors after dark.
Before traveling, ensure pets have current identification tags and vaccinations. Guests should also be aware of seasonal considerations such as ticks, changing weather conditions, and wildlife activity.
Guests Traveling With Pets Are Asked To:
• Clean up after pets indoors and outdoors
• Prevent excessive barking
• Keep pets off beds and furniture unless protected
• Supervise pets outdoors at all times
• Disclose all pets during booking
